Production Supervisor Job Description

In this role, you will oversee a team to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively in line with production requirements. You will prioritize safety and quality at all times. The role involves managing people and production in a safe working environment.

The shift patterns for this position are 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm. We seek a Team Leader who is ambitious, looking to grow and develop within the company. A willingness to learn and progress is essential.

This role will drive area improvements and personal growth for yourself and others. Key responsibilities include:

1. Safety & Quality: Adhere to all relevant quality and Health and Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment and maintain housekeeping standards (5 S).
\
2. Critical Thinking: Ability to follow production schedules and anticipate and solve problems as they arise.
\
3. Drive and Planning: Ensure production targets are met and exceeded by organisation, timely material delivery and cross-training for operational effectiveness.
\
4. People Management: Motivate, engage and communicate with operators, monitor Time and Attendance for payroll, holidays and acceptable levels, maintain discipline in safety and quality.
\
5. Communication: Effectively communicate with other departments such as Design, Logistics, Quality, Shipping, Planning, Purchasing and Management to ensure all issues are dealt with promptly and targets can be achieved.

6. Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive approach to addressing issues and maintaining a solution-focused mindset.
\
7. Strong Organizational Skills: Maintain strong time-management skills and prioritise tasks effectively.
\
8. Keen Understanding of Safety, Quality, and On-Time Delivery: Forward thinking and proactive in ensuring these aspects are consistently maintained.
\
9. Drive to Achieve and Resilience: Ability to overcome obstacles and maintain motivation to achieve goals.
\
10. Manufacturing Expertise: Proficient in manufacturing processes and able to adapt to changing environments.
