Job description
We are seeking an agile and communicative Customer Training Instructor to join our clients Technical team. This role is essential in supporting the preparation, development, and delivery of top-tier training initiatives focused on product knowledge, construction best practices, and sustainable industry themes.
The Role
You will play a vital role in sharing your expertise with our customers and internal teams. The job demands a strong focus on communication, agility, and responsiveness to meet changing demands in the working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver both practical and theoretical training sessions.
2. Ensure a safe training environment and maintain safe working practices.
3. Prepare and maintain training displays, practical support materials, tools, and equipment.
4. Proactively communicate with training attendees before and after training activities.
5. Help organise training activities alongside Commercial Sales Teams and other relevant stakeholders.
6. Support the team in managing up-to-date content on the Technical Academy's digital platforms.
7. Transport training materials as needed between Academies and for external demonstrations.
8. Contribute to the accurate reporting of training activity.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and working practices.
10. Support the ideation and development of both new and existing training initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required
11. Qualifications: Construction industry qualifications coupled with relevant, rounded experience, ideally in internal dry-lining and/or fabric first energy efficiency installation practices.
12. Practical Expertise: You must be able to demonstrate safe working practices and practical operation of tools and equipment associated with construction experience, such as plastering and dry-lining.
13. Communication & Presentation: Excellent communication skills, suitable for various stakeholders, and strong presentation skills are essential. You must be able to clearly and authoritatively convey technical and practical topics to large audiences.
14. Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of current construction practices, specifically in dry-lining or fabric first energy efficiency, is preferred. You should also have a broad understanding of current Building Regulations and product performance attributes.
15. Attention to Detail: Possess an eye for accuracy and detail.
16. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment to deliver key results and business goals.
17. IT Proficiency: ICT competence and proficiency in MS Office.
18. Learning Mindset: A willingness to engage and learn new construction practices in line with current developments, standards, and regulations.
