Maintenance Electrician Role
Our client is a leading facilities contractor in setting the standard for sustainable water and wastewater solutions. They have been at the forefront of managing water and wastewater assets, from feasibility studies to design, construction, and maintenance.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose and resolve electrical issues with components, control panels, and related systems.
* Install and service industrial communication networks and heavy-duty electrical machinery.
* Conduct inspections and perform quality assurance testing.
* Carry out wiring, glanding, and termination for pumps, motors, VSDs, circuit boards, and panels; install conduits, cable trays, and ladders, and pull new cables as required.
* Accurately document all maintenance activities using the CMMS system.
* Support plant operations outside regular hours during start-up, normal operations, and shutdown procedures.
* Participate in the on-call rotation schedule.
* Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols; maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Engineer.
* Work effectively in a high-paced environment where priorities may shift frequently.
Requirements
* A minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical experience in a heavy industrial environment.
* An Electrical National Craft Certificate is essential.
* Strong fault diagnosis & solving experience is necessary.
* The ability to read complex electrical drawings and P&IDs is required.
* Experience with Rockwell / Allen Bradley Control Systems and PLCs, Endress and Hauser, ABB instrumentation, Auma actuators is advantageous.
