Purpose of the PostThe Staff Nurse – Theatre will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards within the model of nursing care practiced in the relevant care setting. The staff nurse will provide holistic, person‑centred care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for service users.The Staff Nurse – Theatre will share responsibility with the Midwifery/Nursing team for the management of nursing care and the patient’s environment under the direction of the Clinical Nurse/Midwife Manager 1 (CN/MM 1), CN/MM2 and CN/MM3. The Staff Nurse will participate in the provision and evaluation of nursing services and management of patient care, and develop clinical expertise, leadership and teaching skills through nursing practice, maintaining a high standard of professional and ethical responsibility.
