Cpl Healthcare is currently accepting applications for Person In Charge for our established client who provides exceptional care to service users with intellectual disabilities in North Cork and Co Limerick. Our client's main focus is to provide children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to live the life of their choice to their fullest potential. This exceptional care is delivered in day services, residential services, respite care, and home support.
This post is a full-time position of 37.5 hours, and the successful candidate will be based in Croom, Limerick.
Requirements:
* A degree in Applied Social Studies/Social Care or relevant qualification, or eligible for CORU registration, or CORU Registered.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience with adults/children with intellectual disabilities.
* Proven managerial skills with at least three years’ experience at a management level and an appropriate management qualification of a minimum of QQI level 6.
* The ability to work on own initiative and supervise service users/staff in a residential setting.
* Experience managing residential budgets.
* Experience managing behaviours that challenge.
* Good organisation and communication skills.
* Full manual driving license.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure the service users' needs are being met.
* Teach service users necessary daily living and social skills through daily activities.
* Establish and maintain positive relationships with service users.
* Engage in activities and complete household tasks.
* Keep accurate records of service users' documentation.
* Complete other tasks as required by the role.
