Job Summary:We are seeking a professionally qualifiedManagement Accountantto join our clients manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in cost accounting, budgeting and financial analysis within a manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in supporting management decision-making by providing accurate and timely financial information, cost control insights, and operational reporting.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts for the plant, highlighting variances and trends.Develop and maintain costing models for products, processes and projects, including standard costing and variance analysis.Monitor and control plant operating costs, identifying areas for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and financial plans, liaising closely with production, procurement, and supply chain teams.Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.Conduct profitability analysis by product line, department, and customer segment.Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP).Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and tax reviews.Qualifications and Experience:Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA).Proven experience as a Management Accountant in a manufacturing environment (typically 3–5 years or more).Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing processes .Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Excel.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.For a confidential conversation about the role please apply for the role or contact Owen Clancy at By applying to this job post you agree that Sterling Engineering may process your personal data for recruitment purpose.
