Requirements of the General Manager
6. Previous experience in a General Manager or senior hospitality or catering management position
7. Strong background in catering/restaurant and retail operations experience is desirable
8. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple services and departments
9. Good financial skills, including budgeting, payroll, and stock management
10. Strong customer service and communication skills
11. Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining standards
Responsibilities of the General Manager
12. Oversee daily operations across the restaurant, retail unit, and catering service
13. Lead and support a management team including an Assistant Manager and Supervisors
14. Ensure catering and retail services run efficiently, with high standards of food, service, hygiene, and safety
15. Manage staff development, training, and performance, fostering a positive workplace culture
16. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing needs and resolving issues quickly
17. Manage budgets, payroll, stock, and supplier relationships to achieve financial targets
18. Monitor performance reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement operational changes
19. Contribute to business development through new initiatives, promotions, and continuous improvement
