Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Professional to join our team in Cork, Dublin or Carlow office. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the growth of our environmental services and collaborating closely with a team of experienced professionals.
This is a broad exposure role across multiple areas within the environmental sector, including planning and Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs), waste management, infrastructure development, waste licensing and permitting, industrial emissions licensing, and environmental due diligence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and Coordinate Environmental Assessments: Lead the process of securing necessary regulatory approvals by managing and coordinating Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs), Appropriate Assessments (AAs), planning application documents, and other environmental reports.
2. Offer Expert Technical Guidance: Provide expert technical guidance on environmental matters to support project teams and business operations.
3. Develop Business Opportunities: Play an active role in developing and supporting business development activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant Environmental Discipline: Degree qualified in a relevant environmental discipline.
* Post-Graduate Experience: At least 8 years of post-graduate experience in an environmental role.
* Chartered Status: Chartered status in a relevant professional field.
* Legislative Knowledge: Strong knowledge of planning, environmental, and waste management legislation.
* Report Writing: Proven experience preparing reports, planning submissions, and license/permit applications across diverse projects.
* Technical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, flexible approach, and excellent technical writing and report reviewing skills.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in engaging with external stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and sub-contractors.
* Transportation: Full, clean driving license.
