TerraGlen is devoted to working in partnership with young people, their families, representatives, and others to deliver a specialist, person-centred, and outcome-focused service for individuals with disabilities.
All staff employed by TerraGlen are expected to:

Responsibilities
* Take ownership for educating themselves about each service user within the service and how their disability affects them.
* Report, record, and carry out assessments.
* Be accountable for supporting the day-to-day running of the service and responsible for the execution and delivery of a person-centred approach.
* Organise, plan, and execute training and development of the staff team through goal setting in supervision or other communication methods.
* The Social Care Leader will be responsible for leading the team in the absence of management.
* Be responsible for chairing meetings, setting agendas, and ensuring follow-up on actions from meetings.
* Support staff members regarding workload, supervisions, and participation in meetings both within and outside the service.
* The Social Care Leader may be required to work shift work, weekends, and/or night duties.
* The Social Care Leader will be part of the on-call management rota.
* Build and maintain professional rapport and communicate with MDT, families, and other personnel as required.
* Adhere to GDPR legislation, ensuring confidentiality at all times, and role model this to staff.
* Participate in ensuring the service is of high quality and inspection-ready from HIQA at all times.
* Work alongside regulations set out by HIQA and New Directions.
* Ensure all administration tasks are current and in line with policies and standards.
* Complete audits and follow up on related actions.
* Ensure key workers keep their files and administration work up to date and of high standard.
* Create meaningful plans and goals for service users, in consultation with their desires and choices.
* Continuously review and improve services through evaluations.
* Promote independence and community integration for service users.
* Oversee staff motivation, support, and encouragement of service users in engaging in planned activities.
* Conduct health and safety checks and risk assessments, recording and reporting effectively.
* Support service users in daily life, helping them make appropriate choices, and reporting concerns.
* Record accurately in line with standards and policies.
* Support service users in managing behaviours of concern, using individualized positive behaviour support plans.
* Maintain high-quality service through audits and action follow-up.
* Complete all required quality reports competently.
* Follow financial procedures, report discrepancies, and work within the budget.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with co-workers and teams.
* Create opportunities for community involvement, volunteering, employment, and education for service users.
* Attend mandatory and developmental training programs.
* Use initiative, organize, and prioritize workload effectively.
* Engage in supervision and appraisal sessions, using reflective practice for development.
* Own your professional development and support feedback to improve services.
* Undertake additional tasks within the scope of the Social Care Leader role as needed.
Qualifications
* Minimum Level 7 in Applied Social Care or relevant qualification.
* Full Driver's license with two years' experience.
* Currently undertaking or holding a CORU-recognised Social Care Qualification.
