Position Summary
The Learning and Development Coordinator will play a central role in designing, delivering, and evaluating the organisation’s learning and development strategy. This individual will work within the HR team and be responsible for driving employee development initiatives that align with the organisation’s goals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of training programmes, identifying development needs, and implementing solutions that make a tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the creation and execution of a structured learning and development strategy
* Identify training needs across departments and develop tailored learning plans
* Coordinate internal and external training delivery, workshops, and e-learning programmes
* Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development initiatives through feedback and performance metrics
* Support the onboarding and induction process with learning-focused input
* Promote learning tools and encourage engagement with digital training platforms
* Maintain accurate training records and provide regular reporting on learning KPIs
* Stay current with best practices in learning and development, and make recommendations for improvement
* Partner with line managers and senior leaders to support team and individual development
* Provide guidance and support to employees on career development opportunities
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a learning and development or HRD-focused role
* Proven ability to design and implement learning programmes at organisational level
* Relevant third-level qualification in HR, L&D, Education, or a related field (CIPD desirable)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels
* Excellent organisation, planning, and time management skills
* Comfortable with digital learning tools and online training platforms
* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
