Job Title: Food Service Assistant
We are seeking a skilled individual to support our Clients' kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while assisting with food preparation.
The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to health and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support chefs and catering staff during meal service.
* Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, floors, equipment, and work surfaces.
* Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly and thoroughly.
* Restock food and service stations during busy periods.
* Follow HACCP and food safety procedures at all times.
* Dispose of waste safely and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
Requirements / Qualifications:
* Prior experience in a kitchen or catering environment is desirable but not essential.
* A valid Manual Handling Certificate is required (training can often be provided).
* HACCP/Food Safety Level 1 or 2 certification is advantageous.
* A good understanding of cleaning standards and hygiene practices is necessary.
* The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
* Reliability, good timekeeping, and attention to detail are essential.
* Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or split shifts.
