Mechanical Project Engineer

You'll join our Project Engineering team, working collaboratively on the design, procurement, installation, and maintenance of equipment and systems that drive continuous improvement in our Kingscourt manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities
* Promote company Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality Policies in the performance of the role.
* Manages projects to ensure they are delivered Safe, timely and cost effective manner in agreement with the Project engineering manager.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
* Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
* Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
* Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
* Research, design, evaluate, procure, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
* Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.
* Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.
* Ensures installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of machines and ensures equipment is installed and functioning according to specifications.
* Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems.
* Recommend design modifications having identified the real root cause to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
* Perform personnel functions, such as supervision of technicians during project work and design of evaluation programs.
* Study similar industrial processes to determine where and how application of equipment can be made.
* Write performance requirements for engineering projects.
* Drafting, Laying Out, and Specifying Technical Devices, Parts, and Equipment -- Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used, using WCM.
* Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards -- Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards
* Ensures budgets, timescales and specifications of projects are agreed with the project engineering manager.
* Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
Qualifications.
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Experience using CAD and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

* Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong technical and analytical ability, with attention to detail.
* A collaborative approach — able to work cross-functionally and build strong working relationships.

Pay: €55,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
