Overview
We’re seeking a Private Client Tax Manager and a Senior Manager to join our clients Family Office and Private Client team. With a focus on both tax compliance and advisory work the role also includes opportunities for business development and cross-team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage Guernsey and UK tax compliance for individuals, trusts, and related structures, including preparation and review of returns such as UK Self-Assessment, ATED, NRCGT, and relevant Guernsey tax filings.
* Deliver written tax advice on income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and cross-border issues.
* Maintain strong client relationships and serve as their main tax point of contact.
* Collaborate with other tax teams (e.g. international, corporate, AEOI) and business services teams.
* Support business development, prepare proposals, and attend networking events.
* Oversee job budgets, WIP, billing, and collections.
* Train, mentor, and supervise junior staff.
* Stay current on tax law changes and contribute to client alerts and technical updates.
Qualifications
* ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA, ATT or equivalent.
* Strong experience in a practice environment handling personal and fiduciary tax matters.
* Proficient in Guernsey and UK personal tax, including income, CGT, IHT, and trust taxation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and clients independently.
