Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Telecommunications Professional to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for carrying out surveys/installations and handling tickets assigned to the field team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take end-to-end ownership of all assigned field activities
* Collaborate with logistics, fellow engineers, back-office support, and customers
* Actively monitor the ticketing system and take ownership of open faults
* Provide real-time updates and manage each issue through full resolution
* Perform site surveys, diagnose hardware and network faults, and conduct preventative maintenance
* Manage inventory and track van stock
* Serve as Clerk of Works for Enet switch site installations
* Participate in the on-call rota for Enet core network support
* Conduct on-site health checks and proactively identify defects or risks
Requirements:
* 3–5 years' experience as a Telecommunications Field Engineer
* Third-level qualification in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
* Hands-on experience with Cisco equipment, including routers and switches
* Proficient in interpreting technical diagrams, network schematics, and equipment manuals
* Strong understanding of IP networking and telecommunications systems
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships
* Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly to dynamic situations
* Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and environmental practices
* Valid driver's license and flexibility to travel frequently
