Your Role at a Glance: The key ways you'll bring value to the team

At Wayflyer, our Risk team builds the tools and systems that power our ability to make fast, high-quality funding decisions. As Senior Product Manager, Risk, you'll lead the product vision and strategy for how we assess customer risk ensuring Wayflyer deploys capital confidently and efficiently.

This is a mission-critical area. Our underwriting tools underpin every decision we make, and your work will directly influence how we evaluate merce businesses, reduce friction in the funding experience, and scale underwriting without scaling cost.

You'll work closely with our teams across Data, Credit, andpliance teams, with our Underwriting team as your primary customer. You'll be part of a talented, cross-functional product trio alongside engineers and designers from Amazon, Shopify, Google, and more.

You'll lead the evolution of our internal underwriting platform and broader risk tooling, working on the systems that have powered billions in funding for thousands of merchants globally. This role is about creating leverage: building seamless internal workflows, surfacing the right data at the right time, and improving decision quality and speed across the underwriting process.

This isn't just about backend infrastructure - it's about turning underwriting into apetitive advantage. You'll partner with the Funding Experience team to make risk insights more transparent to customers and reduce unnecessary drop-off and churn.

This is an ideal role for someone who thrives on solvingplex, high-stakes problems behind the scenes, and who enjoys building for internal teams with the same care as customer-facing products.

1. Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our risk and underwriting products.
2. Work closely with underwriting stakeholders to deeply understand pain points and identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve decision accuracy, and reduce time-to-offer.
3. Partner with your product trio to run structured discovery, validate hypotheses, and make evidence-based product decisions.
4. Build for scalability ensuring risk tooling can support new markets, product types, and underwriting models over time.
5. Collaborate across teams, especially Data,mercial, andpliance, to ensure alignment across the full funding journey.
6. Track product performance, gather user feedback, and continuously iterate on solutions. You know that product work doesn't stop at launch.
7. Drive internal transparency around priorities and trade-offs,municating clearly with stakeholders and ensuring alignment at every stage.
8. Contribute to the growth of Wayflyer's product culture, helping to shape how we build, collaborate, and learn as a team.
What Makes You a Great Fit
9. Proven experience as a senior-level product manager in a fast-paced, high-growth startup (Series A-C preferred).
10. Experience building risk, credit, or underwriting products-ideally in a fintech or B2B2C environment.
11. Experience building data analytics solutions, data visualizations, or analytical toolsponents
12. A track record of creating impact through internal tooling andplex systems work.
13. A bias for action and an entrepreneurial mindset - you don't wait for permission to make things better.
14. Strong discovery skills and product intuition, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and dig deep into problem spaces.
15. Excellent judgment - you know when to move fast and when to invest in foundational thinking.
16. An empathetic and pragmatic approach to internal users, treating them as you would any customer.
17. Strongmunication and influencing skills - you bring people along with clarity and purpose.
18. A passion for quality and continuous improvement. You challenge the status quo and help others do the same.

Our headquarters operates a hybrid model. The number of in-office days depends on your team, but the majority of teams and our SLT are typically in 3-4 days per week, giving you valuable exposure to senior leadership.

GB London, One Big Family

Home to around 30 employees, our brand-new London office also runs on a hybrid model. You'll often find our CEO working alongside the team with regular visits.

AU Sydney, Small but Mighty

Our close-knit Sydney office has around 20 employees and follows a flexible hybrid model, fostering strong collaboration.
