BIM Manager Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects from conception to completion.
The ideal candidate will have a good technical knowledge of design for construction and experience in setting up and managing Common Data Environments (CDEs). Strong working knowledge of Level 2 BIM and ISO 19650 standards is essential, as well as software expertise in ACC/AutoCAD/Navisworks/Revit/Point cloud integration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead BIM coordination activities, including model integration, quality assurance, and clash detection.
2. Organise and lead BIM coordination meetings, ensuring clear communication between stakeholders and the successful resolution of technical issues.
3. Manage and deliver day-to-day BIM activities for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with both internal standards and client-specific requirements.
4. Establish and maintain the Common Data Environments (CDEs) for BIM projects, ensuring data security, accessibility, and accuracy.
5. Interface with internal stakeholders and clients to understand BIM requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
6. Create and maintain key BIM documentation, including BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
7. Provide technical support and training to team members on BIM-related software, including Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)/BIM360, and AutoCAD.
8. Promote the proper use and rollout of ACC across the company.
9. Develop data-rich 3D Revit MEP models.
10. Produce detailed P&ID and layout drawings in accordance with CAD standards.
11. Coordinate with all project disciplines and perform clash detection.
12. Manage site surveys, laser scanning, and update/create models using point cloud data.
13. Create and manage MEP families.
About You
* A third-level qualification in BIM or a related discipline (Engineering, or Construction).
* 10+ years of industry experience.
* Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing Common Data Environments (CDEs).
* Strong working knowledge of Level 2 BIM and ISO 19650 standards.
* Experience in developing BIM documentation, including BEPs.
* Software expertise in ACC/AutoCAD/Navisworks/Revit/Point cloud integration.
* Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and levels within the organisation.
