About Our Client
We are partnered with a specialist renewables developer operating at the forefront of Ireland's rapidly expanding sustainable infrastructure market. With a strong presence in Central Dublin and an active pipeline across Ireland and the UK, the organisation delivers technically advanced energy projects that directly support the transition to low-carbon solutions.

Their portfolio spans high-growth sectors including solar, wind, battery energy storage systems and associated grid connection infrastructure. Known for technical capability, commercial discipline and forward-thinking innovation, the business is scaling its commercial function to support an increasingly complex and strategically important project pipeline.

As a progressive and agile organisation, they offer commercial professionals genuine responsibility, early exposure to project leadership and clear progression opportunities within one of the most in-demand sectors in the market.

What They Are Looking For
The business is seeking an Assistant Contracts Manager to join its Dublin-based team. Reporting to the Commercial Manager and sitting within a growing commercial function, this role will take ownership of commercial and contractual elements across renewable energy development projects.

This position has been created to support continued expansion and the increasing commercial complexity associated with specialist equipment procurement, installation packages and international supply chains. The successful candidate will be involved in cost management, procurement strategy, contract administration and change control, while gaining exposure to development-led project environments.

This opportunity would particularly suit a Junior or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with 2–3 years' postgraduate experience gained within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor environment. A commercially sharp, proactive individual with strong analytical instincts and an interest in sustainable technologies will thrive in this high-growth sector.

Why This Role Is Unique
This is a rare opportunity to transition into the developer side of the renewables market at an early stage in your career. You will gain exposure to commercial strategy, development-led decision-making and emerging technologies while taking on meaningful responsibility.

For an ambitious QS looking to move beyond traditional contracting and build specialist expertise in a booming sector, this role offers a clear pathway toward Contracts Manager and long-term commercial leadership.

Responsibilities
Manage financial performance of assigned packages across renewable energy projects, including cost control, forecasting and CVRs
Support contract administration and compliance across development-led schemes
Lead procurement of subcontractor and specialist equipment packages
Prepare tender documentation, conduct tender analysis and negotiate commercial terms
Measure, value and negotiate variations and change orders
Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks within technical infrastructure projects
Support management of NEC or FIDIC-based contracts where applicable
Liaise with internal development teams, consultants and delivery partners

Criteria for the Role
2–3 years' postgraduate experience within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor environment
Experience as a Junior or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
Strong interest in renewables, energy, utilities or infrastructure sectors
Solid understanding of cost management and procurement processes
Working knowledge of standard construction contracts (NEC or FIDIC advantageous)
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness

What's On Offer
Competitive salary in the €50,000 – €70,000 range (depending on experience)
Exposure to Ireland's high-growth renewables sector
Clear progression pathway toward Contracts Manager level
Opportunity to work within an innovative, niche development environment
Central Dublin location with strong project pipeline

This role provides the ideal platform for a commercially ambitious QS seeking sector specialisation and accelerated progression within sustainable infrastructure.
