Team Horizon is seeking an EMC Validation Engineer for a leading manufacturing company based in North Galway.
The role is responsible for all EMC Validation activities from RFQ phase to final customer acceptance of a defined project. It runs the activities for one project according to company rules and international standards. Optionally, the role of ET Validation Leader for Electrical Testing can be taken over by the EMC Validation Leader.

What you will be doing:
* Analysis of the EMC (and optionally ET) relevant requirements.
* Definition of the EMC (and optionally ET) test cases according to requirements, standards, and regulations.
* Review of applicable documents like Functional Safety Concept (test scope).
* Writing and maintaining the EMC (and optionally ET) Test Plan, including review and approval.
* Preparation of FVS from EMC (and optionally ET) perspective.
* Generation of EMC (and optionally ET) validation cost estimates.
* Leading EMC (and optionally ET) validation activities, including equipment, planning, and resource management.
* Making proposals for design optimization based on failure analysis.
* Internal communication of status, test progress, and results.
* Interface with the EMC (and optionally ET) Design Team.
* Communicating with customers about EMC topics, test status, results, and reports.
* Creating failure tickets and reporting during validation failures.
* Supporting product conformity through Type Approval processes.
* Assisting EMC (and optionally ET) Design Engineers with risk analysis.
* Performing any other duties as assigned.
What you need to apply:
* Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, Electronics / RF Microwaves, or equivalent preferred.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated commitment, initiative, and quality workmanship in an R&D environment.
* Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an EMC test laboratory or related role preferred.
* Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in electronics development may be acceptable.
