Quantity Surveyor
Due to the development of new and existing projects, we are recruiting Quantity Surveyors with a minimum of 2 years' experience based in Tubbercurry, Sligo, or Oranmore, Galway, working on multiple projects.
You will work alongside an experienced commercial team to ensure successful project delivery, maintain relationships, maximize commercial returns, and manage risk.
Responsibilities include:
* Preparing tenders, analyzing, selecting appropriate subcontractors, negotiating and finalizing subcontractor orders, and managing their financial and commercial aspects to final account completion.
* Managing and reporting forecasts, targets, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, and assisting with site records and document control.
* Liaising with site management teams, influencing and challenging them commercially while protecting JSS's commercial and contractual entitlements.
* Managing and overseeing AQS & TQS, checking and taking responsibility for their work, and signing off on SMM/measurement issues.
Requirements:
* At least 2 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential or commercial construction projects.
* A relevant third-level qualification.
* Experience in report writing, forecast planning, and engaging with clients and senior leaders.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
