Vacany: Trustee with Financial Expertise The Organisation: Beyond Surviving is a newly established survivor-led charity organisation in Ireland dedicated to connecting survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence and supporting their healing, wellbeing, and growth. We have been a registered Company Limited by Guarantee since 2023 and a registered charity since November 2024. Our service and support focus on four key pillars: connection, self-advocacy, healing support, and survivor empowerment and self-agency building. Our Board is currently composed of three trustees with combined expertise in business, the charity sector, minority community work, law, project consulting, and survivor lived experience and advocacy. We are now keen to expand our Board, bring in more skill sets, knowledge, and backgrounds, and welcome applications from those who feel they would be a good fit and would bring added value to the organisation. Additionally, as a survivor-led organisation, we are especially keen to hear from those with lived experience of domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence and abuse (DSGBV), as their insights and perspectives are invaluable in shaping our work and driving forward our survivor-led ethos. We are deeply committed to building a diverse and inclusive Board and warmly welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and skill sets, irrespective of race, ethnicity, age, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or belief.
