Fexco International Payments are currently recruiting for a Senior Business Development Executive to join their team. FIP's is executing on its new 3-year strategy and this exciting opportunity will allow the successful individual to form a critical part of its success. This permanent full time role is offered with the ability to work hybrid or remotely and will require frequent travel. Reporting to the Head of Customer Success, this is a senior position within a critical function and the holder will work cross functionally to ensure sales excellence, superior client experience and play a key role in our continued growth. As a Senior Business Development Executive, the role holder will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities with strategic partners and clients as FIPs continues the expansion of its International Payments business. As an expert in the industry, this individual understands the cross-border payments ecosystem, attends events regularly, leverages existing networks and has a systematic approach to capitalising on market trends. With a client centric, consultancy sales approach and proven ability to match solutions to client/partner needs this individual feels at home in a net-new business development environment and operates autonomously. Main Responsibilities: New Business Acquisition, Market Expansion and Revenue Generation Identify, solicit and manage new business opportunities for strategic partnerships, payment processors, aggregators and acquirers. Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Product, Risk & Compliance, Treasury/Accounts, IT, Operations and Group) to deliver dynamic cross-border payment solutions. Report on the status of market trends, pipeline, customer satisfaction and revenue performance. Develop proposals, lead pitches, and close deals with high-profile clients and partners. Lead and deliver any RFP/proposal processes, pricing exercises, and coordinate contract activities. Devise and negotiate commercial proposals for partner and client acquisition. Identify multi-product Payments opportunities aligned with the complex needs of the market/client base. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and customer needs. Partnership Management Leverage existing network to initiate and build relationships with key partners, including banks, payment processors, acquirers and global aggregators. Negotiate partnership agreements and strategic alliances that drive value and expand payment offerings. Agree, manage and support Partner KPIs. Product Development & Innovation Work closely with product and technology teams to influence the roadmap of cross-border payment solutions based on client feedback and market trends. Identify key product features and improvements needed to stay competitive and address regulatory requirements in different regions. Qualifications/Experience Required: Consultative B2B sales and business development experience (ideally 5+ years) obtained whilst working in a cross-border/international payments/FX payments arena. Experience of working with financial institutions, corporates and payment service providers. Demonstrable track record selling to partners, strategic clients and building profitable / mutually beneficial relationships. Key Skills and Qualifications: Industry Knowledge:In-depth understanding of cross-border payment processes FX markets and international remittance services. Business Acumen: Proven track record in business development within the payments, fintech or financial services industry particularly in international markets. Maintain a high level of professionalism/confidentiality. Sales Expertise: Strong experience in solution selling, negotiating large contracts and managing short, mid and long sales cycles with complex decision-making processes Relationship Management: Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to influence and build trust with high level executives and stakeholders. Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding and familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in cross border payments including but not limited to PSD2, AML, KYC with the ability to balance the needs of the client/partner and business with regulatory obligations. Analytical Thinking:ability to analyse market data, anticipate trends and provide insights that guide strategy. Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work across functions and tams to deliver both sales and service excellence, work independently and as part of a team to deliver parallel projects.
