We are investing in the future by building our own talent. We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and eager-to-learn individual to join our workshop team. This is a paid apprenticeship where you will earn a salary while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
No experience is necessary – we are looking for the right attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in mechanics and engineering.
The Role & Your Future:
You will learn from our team of expert technicians in a real-world, busy commercial workshop. Your training will include:
* Learning the Essentials: Servicing, maintenance, and repair of Iveco trucks and other heavy goods vehicles.
* Diagnostic Skills: Using advanced computer diagnostics (Iveco EASY) to find and fix faults.
* Braking & Electrical Systems: Training on the critical systems that keep trucks safe on the road.
* Engine & Drivetrain: Working on the heart of the vehicle – from diesel engines to gearboxes and axles.
* CVRT Preparation: Learning how to prepare vehicles to pass their official roadworthiness tests.
* Workshop Safety: Adhering to the highest standards of health and safety in a professional workshop environment.
The Person:
We are looking for someone who is:
* Educated: A strong Leaving Certificate is preferred, especially in subjects like Maths, Physics, or Engineering. A passion for mechanics is essential.
* Driven to Qualify: Ambitious and committed to completing the 4-year apprenticeship and becoming a fully qualified HGV Technician.
* A Practical Problem-Solver: You enjoy working with your hands and have a logical approach to fixing things.
* A Team Player: Reliable, punctual, and keen to learn from experienced professionals.
* Safety Conscious: You understand the importance of following procedures and working carefully.
* Full clean driver's licence is a distinct advantage.
