We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. This role is ideal for school leavers, career changers, or those already pursuing a qualification in quantity surveying or construction economics. While working full-time on exciting and varied projects, you will be fully supported—both financially and professionally—through your academic studies.
Your mission
* Assist senior team members in the commercial management of construction projects
* Support with cost estimation, procurement, valuations, and reporting
* Help manage subcontractor accounts and attend site meetings
* Collect and manage data for cost planning and budgeting
* Gain knowledge of construction contracts and legal frameworks
* Maintain accurate records for project progress and financial performance
* Ensure adherence to BAM's safety, quality, and sustainability standards
Who are we looking for?
* Leaving Certificate or equivalent (minimum of five subjects including Maths and English)
* Strong interest in construction or engineering
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* Commitment to completing part-time education alongside full-time work
* Full driving licence (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable
