Data Center Facility Engineer: A Crucial Role in Cloud Infrastructure
The successful candidate will oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical infrastructure for Data Centers in cloud regions.
Responsibilities include:
* Assisting in the operation, and maintenance of all, mechanical, Electrical and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility.
* Develop work plan for emergency repair of critical assets.
* Troubleshooting of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems,
* Operate under minimal supervision.
* Create and close Work Orders with appropriate data, to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used into asset management system
Maintaining availability for customers, ensuring maintenance and operation of technical infrastructure, and upkeep and operation of the DC facility are key aspects of this role.
This position requires a motivated, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to problems while striving for operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls), or knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory.
Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or equivalent engineering is required, along with professional Electrical or Mechanical Certification.
A strong willingness to learn new processes and adapt to rapidly changing operational scenarios with conflicting priorities is essential.
Experience in data center engineering operations and ability to troubleshoot complex systems are highly valued skills.
