Bookkeeping, Payroll & Administration Executive (Part-Time)

Location:
North Dublin (Fully Onsite)

Working Pattern:
Tuesday to Friday (4 days per week)

Our client is a long-established and growing accountancy practice based in North Dublin, conveniently close to the city centre. With over 40 years' experience supporting SME clients across a broad range of industries, the firm offers a friendly, professional environment with a strong focus on quality client service.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced
Bookkeeping, Payroll & Administration Executive
to join their close-knit team.

This is a busy, hands-on position providing bookkeeping, payroll and administrative support across a varied portfolio of clients. The role is client-facing and requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

You will report directly to the Senior Accountant / Practice Manager and play a key role in the day-to-day running of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping

* Maintain accurate accounting records for a portfolio of clients
* Process purchase and sales invoices, bank reconciliations and journals
* Prepare and submit VAT returns (where applicable)
* Liaise with clients to resolve queries and obtain missing information
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations

Payroll

* Process weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients
* Calculate salaries, overtime, statutory payments and deductions
* Manage starters, leavers and employee data changes
* Produce payslips, payroll reports and pension submissions
* Respond to payroll-related queries from clients and employees

Administration & Practice Support

* Provide general administrative support to partners and accountants
* Maintain client records and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
* Manage filing calendars, deadlines and internal workflows
* Handle correspondence, emails and telephone enquiries
* Assist with client onboarding and engagement documentation
* Support billing, invoicing and credit control processes

Candidate Profile

* Minimum
2+ years' experience
in a similar role
* Accountancy practice experience preferred
, but candidates from busy multi-entity environments (e.g. large companies, estate agents managing multiple accounts) will also be considered
* Demonstrable experience handling
multiple clients or accounts simultaneously
* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and payroll processes
* Experience using accounting and payroll software such as
BrightBooks, Bright Accounts Production, Big Red Book, QuickBooks, Xero and/or Sage
* AAT qualified or working towards AAT
(desirable)
* Payroll qualification (desirable)
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Able to prioritise workload and meet competing deadlines
* Professional, confident communicator with clients and colleagues
* Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
