Job Role Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing will assume overall responsibility for the operation of the nursing department in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
Key areas of focus include maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and HIQA standards, and participating in clinical management within the home.
* Work closely with senior managers to ensure seamless delivery of housekeeping standards;
* quality and choice of food services;
* maintenance standards;
* and administrative efficiency.
Responsibilities also include providing direct care to residents, communicating with residents/families/representatives, managing staff, monitoring performance, developing policies and procedures, and delivering training to enhance skills and knowledge.
