Job Title: Solar Energy Project Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Solar Energy Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) commercial projects. This role involves managing project scope, ensuring timely completion within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Planning and Management:
* Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
* Manage project scope, ensuring all aspects are completed on time and within budget
* Identify and mitigate potential project risks
Stakeholder Liaison:
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, contractors, suppliers, and authorities
* Provide regular project updates and progress reports to stakeholders
* Ensure effective communication and coordination among all parties involved
Site Set Up:
* Conduct site visits to set up construction and welfare sites
Budget and Resource Management:
* Prepare and manage project budgets
* Allocate resources effectively to ensure project goals are met
* Identify opportunities to reduce costs and minimize risk
Quality Control and Assurance:
* Evaluate and implement quality control processes
* Ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Strong leadership and problem-solving skills for effective stakeholder management and project delivery
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in project management software
* Knowledge of solar energy systems
* MS Excel superuser
* Full Irish Driving Licence or International Driving Licence
Education/Experience:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
* Experience: 3-5 years of experience in project management, in the renewable energy sector, power networks or utilities sectors
Work Authorisation:
* Ireland (required)
