Waste Management Specialist Role
You will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance in waste management. This involves analyzing waste streams and packaging at the source, reviewing and implementing segregation programs to enhance waste management practices.
The position requires expertise in waste management, with a focus on providing support to environmental health and safety departments. You will collaborate with the total waste management coordinator to develop guidance documents for improvement projects and segregation initiatives.
Key responsibilities include tracking hazardous and non-hazardous waste, planning waste loads, and managing necessary documentation. Registering and reporting all waste movements is essential, as well as proper waste identification at the source.
* Analyze waste streams and packaging at the source to inform waste reduction strategies.
* Review and implement effective waste segregation programs to optimize waste management.
* Provide subject matter expertise on waste management, supporting the site EHS department in achieving compliance and efficiency.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in an Environmental Science or related field.
* Sound knowledge of Hazardous Waste Operations and regulations regarding hazardous waste movements.
* Prior experience in a related Environmental role is advantageous.
