We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. This key role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring all customers' needs are met, and promoting the sales of appropriate services and products.
About the Role
The Service Advisor acts as the first point of contact with customers, converting enquiries into service bookings and meeting and greeting customers in a professional and courteous manner. They inspect vehicles, refer to service history, and accurately identify and verify customers' service needs. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well in a process-driven environment, and possess a strong technical understanding of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
* To act as the first point of contact with customers, either in person or by telephone/email
* To meet and greet all service customers promptly and professionally
* To inspect customers' vehicles and refer to service history to accurately identify and verify all customers' service needs
* To record customers' details accurately, clarify payment options, and confirm time for pickup
* To promote the sales of appropriate services, parts, and accessories by thoroughly understanding the vehicle and associated service requirements
* To check on progress of services throughout the day and communicate with customers regarding any changes in the cost-estimate, promised time of delivery, or recommended services
Requirements
* Excellent customer service skills and a professional appearance
* Experience as a Service Advisor in the motor industry would be an advantage but not essential
* Able to work well in a process-driven environment
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* A full clean driver's license
