Head Teachers (HTs) form part of the academic leadership team and are central to ILSC's mission of creating a transformative learning environment to mentor and support teachers day-to-day to ensure consistently high academic standards. The role involves constant communication with Academic, Admin, and Student Services teams to keep ideas and decisions flowing smoothly.An effective HT is energetic, empathetic, and approachable, acting as a mentor, policy guide, and champion for continuous improvement. They support academic operations, inspire innovation, and embody ILSC's core values both internally and within sector communities.Day-to-day, HTs work directly with teachers to model best practice in teaching, assessment, administration, and professional development. They ensure strong induction, training, and classroom management support for all ILSC teachers, strengthening academic quality across the organisation.Job DutiesThe duties of this position include, but are not limited to:Collaborate with DoS, ADoS and Resources Co-Ordinator for effective teacher support and continuous teacher successSupport DoS and ADoS in academic operations such as teacher scheduling and professional developmentAssist with new teacher recruitmentRun new teacher inductionsTrain and guide Teachers in ILSC Curriculum and Assessment documents and practicesTrain and guide Teachers in ILSC LMS and EdTech software and practicesSupport and mentor Teachers as neededSupport Teacher classroom observations, peer observations and team teaching as neededLiaise with and support ILSC Dublin Coordinators as neededCoordinate teacher relief and classroom changes, covering absences when requiredRun new student inductionsConduct student assessments as requiredAssist with weekly student noticesAssist DoS and ADoS with workshop and CPD (Continuous Professional Development) organisationParticipate in and represent ILSC at external SIGs and CoPsContribute to Session meetings & Professional Development workshopsEnsure Teachers are upholding ILSC Policies & ProceduresNetwork with colleagues in the wider EFL sector to stay informed about trends and best practices in student engagement.Promote ILSC Dublin's online presence and manage the school's social media accounts, liaising with co-ordinators and the student services team to ensure regular posts.Other related duties or projects as determined by the Director of Studies or National DirectorsEssential Qualifications, Skills, And AttributesRecognized Bachelor's degree.Trinity CertTESOL, Cambridge CELTA, Cert IV TESOL, or equivalent.Minimum three years' teaching experience in quality English language institutions.Excellent understanding of English language teaching methodology, curriculum, and assessment practices.Experience using online learning management systems and delivering multimodal/blended lessons.Familiar with social media and other online platforms for use in school promotion.Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development for self and team.DesirableGenuine passion for English language teaching and international education.Agile and adaptable in response to changing industry conditions and academic needs.Willing to trial and develop new courses or academic initiatives.Strong communication, mentoring, and people skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.Effective coordination and teamwork, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage pressures or escalate issues appropriately.Excellent organisational, administrative, and digital skills, including proficiency in MS Office.Confident interpersonal and networking abilities.A strong, reliable work ethic and professional approach.Contact Information:While we thank all applicants, only those who are shortlisted will be contacted.About ILSC, ELS, Greystone College & Greystone InstituteA world leader in language education & vocational training, ILSC Education Group, which opened its first language school in Vancouver, Canada in 1991 and Greystone College in 2002, offers life-changing educational experiences in Canada, Australia, Ireland and India, some of the world's most attractive and popular English-speaking work and study destinations.
