We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Underwriter to join our operations team in Galway. As a key member, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and making underwriting decisions on car and home insurance policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service via phone and email, resolving customer queries and concerns in a professional and efficient manner.
* Underwriting Decisions: Make informed underwriting decisions on car and home insurance policies, working within your underwriting license and escalating complex cases to senior team members.
* Performance Targets: Meet and exceed individual and team targets, while maintaining a strong focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement.
* Administrative Duties: Fulfill additional administrative duties as required to support the role.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Hold or be progressing toward a recognised qualification in line with the requirements of the Minimum Competency Code for this role (e.g., APA/CIP/or other recognised qualification).
* Experience: Previous experience in the insurance sector is highly desirable, although not essential.
* Skills: Excellent communication skills, including a superb telephone manner, strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and excellent organisational skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
