Simo Tech has a new opportunity for ahighly skilled Building Automation System Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years'experience to join our team supporting our client, a leading Life Sciencecompany in Dublin.
The Building Automation System Engineerworks closely with other resources such as operations, HVAC engineers, Utilityengineers, electrical team, projects team, whilst also working with otherinternal resources & external engineers to maintain sustaining operation ofthe Building Automation System and deliver upgrade projects.
Key Responsibilities Supporting Building Automation System (BAS) (Siemens Desigo CC) and other Utility Automation Control systems.
Supportupgrade projects and provide troubleshooting and hands-on support to resolvetechnical issues.
Schedulingand coordinating work to tight deadlines.
Ensuringthat equipment works to its specification and creating and carrying out testprocedures and automation change controls.
Liaisingwith installation/project engineers and supervising engineering, vendors andtechnical staff.
Writingreports and documentation as well as writing work instructions.
Ensuringsafe working conditions.
Trainingmaintenance and operative staff where appropriate.
Attend Software Factory Acceptance and Site Acceptance Testing.
Maintainingand developing change control systems.
Key Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, or a related engineering field or itsequivalent.5+years' experience providing Building Automation / Building Management systemsolutions and support to manufacturing organisations in the biotechnology orpharmaceutical industry or similar is required.
Experienceduring project delivery and operations support.
Experienceworking with Air Handling Units (AHU) / HVAC and other critical utility systemssuch as cooling towers, compressors.
Experiencewith Siemens Desigo CC, Siemens Xworks.
Thecandidate will have demonstrated proficiency in communicating and collaborating ata variety of levels, coupled with excellent organisation and planning skills.
Experienceof interfacing equipment with Siemens PXC controllers using Modbus would be an advantage.
Strongleadership and communication skills.
Problem solver with a focus on achievementof overall project goals.
Workingknowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle and experience of GDP documentationpractices.
