The role requires working from office, FC and store-based locations.Focus areas include stock integrity, stock management, cash management/security, MPOS fraud (i.e. returns, voids, etc.), time theft/payroll, e-comm/OMNI fraud including credit card fraud and gift card fraud.Key Responsibilities includeRisk Based Process Design, Implementation and Compliance: Perform risk assessments in all key focus areas and design, communicate and monitor compliance with policies and procedures designed to mitigate the risks identified, encompassing both system and operational processes .Data Analysis:Analyse data from sales, stock, MPOS transactions (sales, returns, voids, discounts, etc.), payroll/TMS/contracts, e-commerce transactions, claims, and security incidents to identify trends, policy breaches and risk areas for further investigation.- Reporting:Production of periodic (weekly/monthly) dashboards and reports highlighting insights from data to identify key risk areas to target to ensure an appropriate and proportionate response.- Investigations:Lead investigations into incidents of theft, fraud, and policy violations, including interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence, liaising with 3rd parties such as the Gardai and internal stakeholders, and resolving issues.- Operations Management:Oversee daily security and loss prevention operations, ensuring the safety and security of people and assets.- Stocktaking: Manage periodic cycle and stock counting, interpret results and take necessary action.- Budget Management:Develop and manage the budget for stock loss, cash unders/overs and loss prevention.- Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with other teams across the business including Retail Ops, Supply Chain, Warehouse, HR ("T&E"), E-Commerce and Finance in all areas of compliance monitoring, reporting and investigations.- External Relationships:Build and maintain relationships with external partners such as 3rd party warehouse and logistics partners, security firms, IT partners, payment providers (Adyen) and external agencies, such as the Gardai and crime prevention agencies.Required Skills and ExperienceSecurity and Risk Management:Proven experience in security operations, risk management, and developing loss prevention strategies preferably across the retail sector in both bricks and mortar and online businesses.- Data Analysis & Reporting:Proficiency in financial analysis, using data analysis tools and software to identify patterns pertaining to risk areas and inform decision-making.- Commercial Acumen:Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to link security initiatives to financial performance.- Communication : Excellent communication skills to manage stakeholders at all levels and influence change.- Problem-Solving : Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking skills to handle complex challenges.- Technical Knowledge:Familiarity with investigation techniques, data analytics and relevant technology including ERP and reporting.
