* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
* 3 years of experience in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
* 3 years of experience designing data models, data warehouses, and using SQL and NoSQL database management systems, along with data processing using traditional and distributed systems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Dataflow, Airflow).
Preferred qualifications:
* Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Applied Science, or a related field.
* 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
* 5 years of experience managing projects and working with analytics, software coding, or customer-side web technologies.
* 3 years of experience writing and maintaining ETLs operating on structured and unstructured sources.
* 3 years of experience with distributed data processing and Unix or GNU/Linux systems.
* Working knowledge of machine learning, including data preparation, model selection, performance evaluation, and parameter tuning.
About the job
As a Revenue Systems Data Engineer within the Ads & YouTube Controllership, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing financial processes and reporting for Google's key product area. You will understand our product business generation, billing, and ERP systems to advise on and implement process automation, supporting critical accounting and controllership activities. You will collaborate closely with accountants and engineering teams, translating complex business requirements into technical solutions, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting. Your expertise will ensure the integrity and compliance of our financial data.

Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and support data pipelines, warehouses, and reporting systems to solve business operations, user, and product problems.
* Create ETLs and reporting systems for new data sources using traditional and large-scale distributed data systems.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and support engineers to meet evolving data infrastructure requirements.
* Write and review technical documentation, including design, development, and revision documents.
* Work with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to identify, scope, design, test, and implement data solutions for accounting and financial reporting using diverse systems and technologies.
