Role Description:
The Data Specialist is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining data integrity across multiple systems to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of business information. Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or data management certification (e.g., DAMA, Microsoft Certified Data Analyst, or Google Data Analytics) is an advantage.
* 2–5 years of experience in data management, analysis, or business intelligence.
* Proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying, cleaning, and validation.
* Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
* Strong working knowledge of Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros) and at least one BI or visualization tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio.
* Experience with data transformation and ETL tools is preferred.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify data trends, patterns, and anomalies.
* Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
* Understanding of data governance principles, data security, and compliance requirements (GDPR, ISO standards, etc.).
* Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with both technical and non-technical teams.
* Ability to manage multiple data requests, prioritize tasks, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
