Key responsibilities: To supervise the day-to-day operational performance and behaviour of the duty security officers at TSO.
To conduct regular inspections of the security officer's presentation and turnout ensuring that the highest corporate/front of house standards are maintained.
To supervise the administration of the site routine tasks and operational procedures.
Be responsible for the administration and welfare of the site-based security officer's including uniform and equipment requirements, shift cover including holiday and pay matters.
To maintain contact with both the client and Mitie management in accordance with specific and routine instructions, security officer training, performance and site discipline.
Application of Client policies and procedures at all times.
Report deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
Ensure correct use all work equipment and personal PPE in accordance with training and instructions received.
Report operational issues or training requirements via line manager escalation and/or incident reporting systems.
Foster and develop relationships with senior site management leads, facilities management staff and local it management.
Foster and develop relationships with local and national intelligence resources, local authority, fire service, guarding companies, landlord property management, including local and city-based tenant groups.
Develop and maintain good relations between the landlord security team and building residents visitors.
Supervision of CCTV, Access Control and other protective systems, and act as a first line response to activations incidents and fault reporting.
To attain and maintain a high level of knowledge of the site Assignment Instructions and the Site Emergency Procedures and their local implementation.
Ensure site security surveys and Risk Assessments are kept up to date.
To check all site reports and checklists including: all incident reports, the DOR, HO/TO reports, shift reports, patrol checklists, security pass lists, key lists, radio and site equipment checks and take appropriate follow-up action if/when required.
Supervision the site training of all security officer's and deliver continuation training on a regular basis, in order to achieve and maintain standards and prevent 'skill-fade'.
Continuation training should be conducted at intervals of no less than 3 months between training and all training should be logged.
To maintain the site-based security officer's training records.
To set and maintain high standards of discipline and be responsible for conducting preliminary investigations in relation to poor performance and disciplinary matters as required.
To react positively and professionally in support of security operations and emergency situations as required.
Attend relevant meetings as required.
Adopt an understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures and planning.
Understanding and promote continuous application of the Pillars Principles.
About you: Skills for Security trained certified.
PSA Licensed.
First Aid trained certified.
IT literate - ability to use MS Windows and MS Office applications.
Corporate Customer Services background.
A sound understanding of electronic security Access Control CCTV systems.
Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement contacts at national level (required).
Proven track record working towards KPI's and SLA's.
Experience in incident management.
Experience in training and development of security teams.
Customer facing/front of house skills.
Able to work on own initiative and take personal responsibility and ownership for all actions.
Strong leadership team building sills.
A high standard of bearing and turnout.
Excellent communicator.
Ability to demonstrate a commitment to delivering a high-quality service.
Ability to liaise with others at all levels including senior management and customers clients and key business partners.
Ability to work within established procedures and contribute positively to improvements.
A Disciplined and Professional attitude.
Ability to deal with, manage and control emergency situations.
Be familiar with and understand the principles of the Health and Safety at Work etc.
Act whilst adopting and maintaining Safe Working Practices.
Maintain the highest standards of conduct and in compliance with the client's and Mitie Codes of Conduct.
Ability to remain flexible to task and be prepared to 'muck in' when required whilst contributing by leading by example.
Must be proactive and self-motivated.
Strong capability in conflict management and problem solving.
Should be prepared and be available to revert to provide cover for holidays and sickness or extra cover if required.
Previous law enforcement experience is desirable but not essential Benefits include: 25 days annual leave.
