Due to continued expansion, we're seeking a Homecare Manager for our Laois branch, based in Portlaoise.
This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee and manage the operations of our services in the area.
You'll be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality, compassionate, person-centred care to clients in their own homes while leading and supporting a dedicated team of Caregivers.
The position is open to Nurses and Managers, ideally with a background in Homecare, Community Care, or Elder Care.
We're looking for someone who's highly organised, an excellent communicator, and ready to lead and drive the implementation of our strategic vision and goals.

Responsibilities
Leadership & Service Delivery
Oversee the day-to-day operations of homecare services in the Laois area
Promote the highest standards of care and service, ensuring quality standards are maintained in line with Company, HSE, and HIQA requirements
Provide strong leadership and support to our Healthcare staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment
Lead the implementation of our strategic vision and goals
Client & Stakeholder Management
Develop and manage relationships with Clients, HSE, Public Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, and the home support office
Coordinate Client care plans and ensure they're delivered effectively
Ensure all homecare packages are filled on a timely and ongoing basis
Work closely with senior management and the HSE, reporting directly to the Managing Director
Staff Management & Development
Supervise and support a team of Caregivers, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to deliver excellent care
Manage the Administrative and Care staff delivering Homecare services
Work with HR to manage the recruitment process
Ensure the delivery of all staff training programmes
Oversee rostering, scheduling, and on-call cover arrangements
Operations & Compliance
Maintain regulatory compliance across all aspects of service delivery
Ensure the overall smooth functioning of homecare services
Monitor health and safety adherence
Manage administrative functions efficiently
Business Development
Participate in the development and marketing of the company
Contribute to tender and SLA submissions
Undertake other tasks as assigned to support the development and growth of the service
Requirements
Essential
Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a homecare agency or similar healthcare setting
Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills
Proven people and performance management abilities
In-depth knowledge of homecare regulations, policies, and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, for people management and tender/SLA submissions
Strong IT and system skills with good financial awareness
Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to providing high-quality care to clients
Desirable
A bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, social care/work, or a related field
Previous experience managing a team in a busy, dynamic environment
