Senior Solutions Data Architect
Long term multi year hybrid (2 days onsite) day rate contract with our client based in Dublin City Centre
Our enterprise client is recruiting for a highly experienced contract Senior Solutions Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of its enterprise data platform and architecture. This role will provide strategic and technical leadership across data architecture, data engineering, big data, modelling, integration, management, governance, business intelligence, and data analytics, ensuring that all data solutions align with organisational objectives and ICT architectural standards.
If selected you will bring extensive experience in enterprise scale data platforms, modern cloud analytics, and end to end delivery of complex data solutions. They will be responsible for shaping architectural principles, guiding data governance practices, and supporting the development of robust, future ready analytics capabilities across the organisation.
You should have strong stakeholder engagement, architectural leadership, and deep expertise in technologies such as Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic App, Azure Functions, Databricks, SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric are essential.
Key Deliverables:
Oversee data engineering team of supplier
Manage team of data and platform architects
Automate Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes
Deliver solution to enable self-service analytics/reporting and data democratisation
Migration of legacy data warehouse solution to Fabric platform
Setup unified data platform using Microsoft Fabric
Integration of complex source systems data to meet strategic programme requirements
End to End delivery of Data Integration and business intelligence solution

Experience, Competencies & Skillsets:
At least 10 years’ experience with high level integration designs that align with enterprise architecture and business process architecture.
Responsible for leading and coordinating the optimisation of data architecture.
Experience in Data Integration using Azure Data Factory, Logic App, Azure Function, Databricks, SSIS.
Experience in Data Warehousing using SQL Server, Azure Synapse.
Experience in Data Manipulation & Analytics Azure Data Factory.
Experience in Data Visualisation & Reporting using Power BI.
Experience in implementing medallion architecture.
Experience in delivering data democratisation solution.
Experience in delivering self-service analytics and reporting solutions.
Experience in managing data sets and working with ETL, data lake and data warehouse solutions.
Experience in managing end to end delivery of complex ETL projects;
Experience in translating business requirements into data requests and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solutions;
Experience in supporting the design and development of business intelligence solutions.
Experience in leading data conversations and developing business concepts into solutions.
Experience in performing proof of concepts using new technologies and providing recommendation to improve our client’s enterprise data platform.
Demonstrated experience operating as a senior subject matter expert focused on designing of data architecture based defined governance rules, especially in public transport services domain.
Possesses an appropriate level industry standard vocabulary (especially public transport services domain) and technical ability in the extraction, storage and transformation of data.
Experience in working on complex data governance programmes.
Experience with the creation of diagrams mapping all aspects of data entities and inventory required to implement the architecture solution.
Experience in setting data architecture principles and creating data models that enable the implementation of data architecture.
Experience in working on various data architecture and model techniques – e.g. star schema, snowflake.
Experience in creating data model and data architecture for public transport industry domain.
Skills and qualifications must demonstrate ability to work with the relevant business stakeholders to translate business requirements to business architecture, technical requirements, and design
Skills and qualifications must demonstrate ability to work with the relevant ICT technical stakeholders to define the technical requirements of the ICT environment.
