Réalta Technologies are searching for an Automation Engineer with strong PLC experience to support a Pharmaceutical client of ours based in Dublin.
The ideal candidate will have minimum of 5 years' experience in similar positions.
Responsibilities
* Manage vendor migration current HMI, PLCs, SCADA systems, and associated hardware.
* Manage provisioning of servers from the legacy domain to the corporate client domain.
* Program PLC Control Systems as required during the migration.
* Fault-Find Complex automation equipment as required during the migration.
* Debug and validate Control System software programs as required during the migration.
* Analyse, understand, fault-find and modify software programs written by other developers as required during the migration.
* Preparation and review of Design Documentation, Tender Documents and URS documents as required for the purpose of the migration.
* Generate, review and approval of all Project Documentation (Risk Assessment, Scope, Hand Over etc), Validation Documentation (FAT, IQ-OQ etc),Trial Reports and Standard Operating Procedures.
* Update and Develop End user manuals (SOPs and Training Aids) and provide training on new equipment / process functionality as required during the migration.
* Perform technical review of updates to SOPs related to the equipment / process as required during the migration.
* Plan out all project tasks in MS project, including electrical and mechanical.
Requirements
* Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field).
* 5+ years' experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, including programming, debugging, and fault-finding.
* Proven experience in control system migrations, including domain/server transitions.
* Strong knowledge of industrial automation platforms (e.g. Siemens, Rockwell) and communication protocols (e.g. Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
* Experience preparing and reviewing technical documentation (URS, FDS, Risk Assessments, Validation Protocols).
* Ability to analyse and modify code written by others and deliver end-user training/support.
* Strong communication skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
* Project management experience and proficiency with MS Project preferred.
