Senior Data Engineer (Healthcare) – Impact-Driven, Fully Remote
We’re partnering with a well-established organization operating in a mission-critical industry to find a Senior Data Engineer ready to lead the buildout of scalable, modern data infrastructure. This is a rare opportunity to own end-to-end systems, collaborate across technical and clinical domains, and directly influence how data shapes high-stakes decisions every day.
About the Role
You’ll design and implement robust data pipelines and models that power analytics and product development across the company. From evolving a secure and scalable data warehouse to enabling real-time insights and data-driven decisions, your contributions will be both strategic and deeply technical.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Architect and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Airflow
* Own a modern GCP + BigQuery data warehouse and ensure it stays performant and secure
* Write scalable SQL and Python code to transform and enrich complex datasets
* Design data models (e.g., star/snowflake schemas) that drive intuitive reporting and analysis
* Collaborate with teams across engineering, product, clinical, and commercial to shape data products
* Implement robust data quality, observability, and lineage solutions
* Contribute to internal self-serve analytics capabilities and external data integrations
What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles
* Proven expertise in Airflow, BigQuery, SQL, Python
* Strong grasp of modern data warehousing, modeling, and orchestration
* Experience in cloud environments (preferably GCP) and version control (Git)
* Domain experience in healthcare and compliance with HIPAA/PHI is a big plus
* Bonus points for familiarity with dbt, Metabase, Terraform, event-driven systems, or GraphQL
