Job Title: Careworker

About this Role:


Supporting Independent Living Skills

This role promotes the development of independent living skills and assists service users in daily living within supported accommodation, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

* A third-level graduate in Health & Social care or equivalent is highly desirable.
* Attendance at relevant training as deemed necessary by management is essential.
* A minimum of two years' previous experience working with people with disabilities is required.

A clear understanding of the philosophy of independent living and community integration is necessary.

Good communication skills and the ability to self-direct are also crucial.

Responsibilities:

* To collate, assess, and intervene information and expertise for the purpose of developing an individualized community support service.
* To document information, update records, and complete necessary paperwork for communication and accountability purposes.
* To approach all client interactions with dignity, respect, equality, and choice.
* To deliver a quality service by designing, implementing, and reviewing quality monitoring systems appropriate to each individual's requirements, providing personal assistance in everyday living skills, and carrying out duties necessary to ensure clients' comfort and hygiene.

Additionally, a full, clean manual Irish driving license held for at least two years is required.
