Job Description
Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to promote our offers, communicate with all levels of the customer organization to ensure they fully comprehend our solutions. This role is key to underpinning the commercial objectives of our local organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Initiate contact, develop, manage, and implement a commercial strategy for targeted customers.
* Promote and educate customers on our solutions, focusing on customer specifications and training.
* Develop in-depth knowledge of our full offer, including products, solutions, software, and services, and apply them across the customer lifecycle.
* Cross-sell our offers effectively.
* Gain a working knowledge of all product lines from various business units.
* Establish dynamic sales plans based on Best-in-Sales principles, Personal Sales Plan, company policy, objectives, and strategy.
* Bridge Front Office, capturing opportunity data, producing reports, and forecasts in a timely manner.
* Provide relevant information to the tendering team, interact regularly with Tendering and other sales teams, and Zone marketing.
* Collaborate with internal colleagues across Entity Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Techno-commercial teams to ensure effective cross-entity cooperation.
* Ensure customer issues are owned and resolved by the most appropriate owners within the business units.
* Manage and maintain customer and partner records using company tools.
* Maintain personal awareness of development needs and actively develop core competencies in line with the personal development plan.
* Support company initiatives and champion product competency development among team members.
* Monitor competitors' actions and provide accurate information and reporting in a timely manner as required by the line manager and feedback to marketing.
Qualification:
* A technical qualification at degree level in engineering and previous sales experience in electrical or mechanical engineering are essential.
* Electrical systems experience, distribution, protection, power quality experience, and software sales experience would be advantageous.
* Account management skills, cold calling, social selling, persuading, convincing, impressing others, active listening, and building business relationships are necessary.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good knowledge of power systems, secure power, and industry systems are also required.
