Java Developer
We are looking for a mid-level or senior Java Developer to help build our platform, which supports a wide range of account-to-account (A2A) and traditional card payment methods.
Our team works on a leading FinTech platform, collaborating with thousands of businesses and some of the world's largest financial institutions from offices in London and Dublin.
Responsibilities:
* Develop high quality, secure, scalable backend services and serverless software
* Write unit and integration tests
* Create and manage data architecture, develop database queries
* Contribute to the evolution of our engineering processes and technical designs
* Learn on the job and find solutions to challenges
* Finding better ways to do things, never accepting 'that's just how it's done'
* Work in a team
Requirements:
* BSc/MSc degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related technical discipline
* 5+ years experience with Java and the Spring Framework
* Experience with SQL, NoSQL
* Exposure to the AWS or Azure-based IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings
* Knowledge of API gateways, Tomcat, Maven, Jenkins, and other CI/CD tools
* Ability to articulate your reasoning and solutions to colleagues
* Available for work from the office 3 days per week
* Must be eligible to work in Ireland
* Basics of Application Security for Java developers
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in the financial services domain
* Experience with microservices patterns
* Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular, JQuery, React or similar
* Experience with Camunda, BPMN, or other process orchestration platform
* Detailed knowledge of OWASP
