The Produce Lead is a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations within the produce department. This position oversees daily functions, maintains product quality and freshness, and optimizes inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain optimal produce freshness through regular culling and rotation, adhering to company standards.
* Proactively manage inventory levels, executing timely replenishment to maintain in-stock conditions.
* Accurately price, label, and merchandise fresh produce according to company specifications.
* Analyze sales, waste, and shrink data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction.
* Ensure compliance with all sanitation, safety, and food handling regulations, including guidelines from ServSafe.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in produce operations, grocery retail, or food handling.
* Strong knowledge of produce handling, quality standards, and food safety protocols.
* Ability to analyze data and identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.
* Detailed-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
* Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email).
