Homeless Support Coordinator
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to support families in securing long-term accommodation. As a Homeless Support Coordinator, you will work closely with our team to provide guidance and assistance to families, helping them to establish tenancies and access local services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Family Admission and Support: Admit families to the service, providing a full induction and welcome, and develop a support plan to help them achieve their goals.
* Tenancy Establishment: Assist families to identify suitable properties, accompany them to viewings, and negotiate with landlords where necessary.
* Housing Assistance: Facilitate families to understand and complete their Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) and develop a plan to help them manage their finances effectively.
Person Specification:
* Relevant Qualifications: A relevant Level 7 qualification, such as Social Care, Social Policy, Addiction Studies, or Social Science, is essential for this role.
* Knowledge of Homelessness Services: A minimum of one year's experience working in the area of homelessness and knowledge of homelessness services, addiction, and mental health are required.
