Job Title: Care and Support Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Care and Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our community residential services, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling lives.
About the Role:
This permanent full-time position is based in our community residential services within the Clane Area, North Kildare. You will work closely with our residents, their families, and our multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.
* To work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to develop and implement individualised care plans.
* To maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident's progress and activities.
* To participate in on-call rosters and respond to emergencies as required.
* To contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote quality care and service delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* A relevant third-level qualification in social care, health sciences, or a related field.
* Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities, preferably in a community residential setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and priorities.
* Knowledge of HIQA standards and other relevant legislative requirements.
