A rapidly growing Property development group have a role for newly created Financial Controller working closely with the CFO.
Previous experience as an FC in Property Development or construction is required.
A rapidly growing Property development group have a role for newly created Financial Controller working closely with the CFO.
Key responsibilities of the Financial Controller
Consolidate monthly financials for the group
Lead month and year end close.
Manage all finance functions: bank reconciliations, cash flow, accounts payable, management of WIP, revenue billing and recognition.
Manage and develop an accounts assistant.
Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and internal control standards. Ensure VAT, Tax & RCT are reconciled and up to date on ROS.
Become main point of contact for external Auditors
Own the outsourced payroll supplier relationship, liaising with HR on BIK etc and being the point of contact for internal payroll queries.
Collaborate with the FP&A Manager on budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Support the CFO with group reporting, ad hoc projects and fundraising.
Key Requirements of the Financial Controller
Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
Proven experience in group-level financial control and reporting.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with job costing systems.
Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
Proactive and results-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
