YOUR ROLE
Our global business development team have an exciting opportunity for a Global Business Development Support Specialist where you will act as a liaison between sales, account management, operations and customers of assigned accounts where you will ensure operational and customer service excellence.
This pivotal role will see you supporting GKAMs and RKAMs with customer development and retention therefore you will be a confident, ambitious and dynamic individual who has an appetite to grow and develop within a sales environment.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Global Key Account Manager, you will develop, maintain and manage a high level of customer service across internal functions and clients ensuring a line of communication for all operational and customer service issues and escalations.
You will create and deliver regular reports based on operational performance and support in the preparation of monthly and quarterly business reviews, handling customer queries where you will provide suitable solutions and remedial actions.
You will support Global Key Account Management and Regional Key Account Managers with project, presentations, RFQs, quotations, and rate card updates to support with business tenders, bids and business reviews.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application you will have proven experience of supporting sales, account management teams or client accounts, ideally within an account management, sales or customer service role.
You will have proven experience of working within a freight forwarding, 3pl or 4pl logistics environment with excellent knowledge of the industry and a keen interest in market trends and challenges.
It goes without saying that you will be an excellent communicator, influencer, negotiator, and problem-solver, able to build effective working relationships at all levels, interacting with both internal and external stakeholder groups.
You will be confident in preparing and presenting statistical reports and data analytics on operational and contract performance; therefore, you will be practiced in MS packages and software's, particularly MS Excel and MS PowePoint.
