Sales Manager

Location: Wexford / Hybrid 2 days onsite
A leading company in the packaging automation industry is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Manager to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead business development efforts across the UK and Ireland, with a focus on the life sciences and premium food sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, fostering long-term relationships, and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a targeted sales strategy to identify and secure new business within the life sciences and premium food sectors.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients, positioning the business as a trusted partner.
* Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer demands, and competitive insights to guide the sales strategy.
* Collaborate with engineering and project teams to create customised solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
* Lead the sales process from prospecting and qualification to proposal delivery, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand awareness and generate leads.
* Set and achieve sales targets while providing regular reports and forecasts to senior management.
* Continuously refine sales processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
* Proven track record in business development within the packaging machinery or related packaging materials industry.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on relationship-building and effective negotiation.
* Highly motivated, self-driven, and results-oriented, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland as required.
