Advanced Energy has devoted four decades to perfecting power for its global customers and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado.POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to ensure on-time delivery of complex, cross-functional product development projects and products for the Medical, Semiconductor and Industrial Power Electronics sectors. This role requires an on-site strategic thinker with a strong process orientation, deep understanding of product development cycles, and proven leadership in managing global teams and resources.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Program Leadership:Leads a cross-functional project team through all phases from concept through commercialization using Stage Gate or similar structured development processesProgram Ownership:Manages projects according to Product Development Process and ensures that any scope changes to the financial targets are raised with recommendations for appropriate actionsOrganisational Alignment:Supports marketing and design engineering in preparing Request for Quotation or program development proposalsGlobal Collaboration:Drive innovation and execution across global teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory functionsResource Management:Optimize the use of global factory and operations resources, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality complianceStakeholder Engagement:Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverablesProcess Excellence:Champion continuous improvement and process discipline across all phases of the product lifecycleRisk & Change Management:Proactively identify risks, manage mitigation plans, and lead change control processesPeople Leadership:Mentor and guide direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation WORK ENVIRONMENT:Works in a standard office environment Domestic and international travel of up to 10%Interfaces with internal customers in all functional areas and may interface with external customersSKILLS:Strong knowledge of product development cycles, especially in regulated environmentsDemonstrated experience with stage gate, agile, or hybrid project methodologies Proven ability to lead global teams and manage international resources for multiple parallel projects Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Attention to detailWell organized and disciplinedAbility to make independent decisions with initiative and tactMust be able to interact with people at all levels and locations in the organizationInternational awareness and sensitivityAbility to manage to aggressive timelinesExcellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (including Project and Visio) and SAPEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:Essential:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field8+ years of experience in project management within Power Electronics, Medical Devices, or related high-tech industries8+ years of experience in leading/managing people and projects (indirect + direct)Demonstrated communication and leadership skillsPreferred:Experience in successfully managing cross-functional teamsExperience in developing and executing project budgetsDegree specifically in Electronics EngineeringPMI Certification WHAT AE OFFERS:Opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies in the medical industry and beyondA collaborative, innovative, and inclusive work environmentCompetitive compensation and benefitsGlobal and local career development opportunities
